Abstract
Carcinoma of the bladder is frequently encountered neoplasm of the genitourinary tract. Frequent sites of metastasis from carcinoma of the bladder are lymph nodes, liver, lungs and bone. But cutaneous metastasis from urothelial cell carcinoma of the bladder is an quite uncommon finding accounting for only 2% to 8%. The literature describes that the metastatic skin lesions are multiple and metachronous, being diagnosed at some point in time subsequent to the primary bladder lesion. The clinical features of cutaneous metastasis are divided into three types; nodular type, inflammatory type(carcinoma erysipelatodes) and sclerodermoid type. Most cases of skin metastasis from bladder cancer are of the nodular type. The common site of the skin is the face, trunk, abdomen, extremity with the prevailing histology that of urothelial cell carcinoma. Treatment has not been standardized but systemic chemotherapy ia a possible therapeutic option and successful treatment of metastatic skin lesion with electrochemotherapy was reported. We experienced a unusual case of scalp metastasis from urothelial cell carcinoma of bladder in 82-year-old man.
